True Blood Funeral Wreath

For our final True Blood party we are having a funeral themed party. Since this is our final season of our favorite show, we thought it was an appropriate way to say our final goodbyes to our beloved residents of Bon Temps.

Above is a funeral wreath we will hang on the front door. The funeral wreath is a long standing sign of a death in the family in the South. Below are instructions on how to make your own funeral wreath.

1 box of rounded tooth picks
40 to 60  black silk flowers
1 large size styroform wreath
1 large white ribbon

black thin ribbon
t-shirt transfer paper for your printer
glue gun
stick pins

Take a piece of slim black ribbon and loop through the center of the wreath and tie securely to make a hanger for your wreath.

You'll only need the tips of the flowers so cut off the stems. Spead the flower out with your fingers. Apply a drop of hot glue to end of a toothpick and place the tooth pick in the center of the flower. Stick the flowered pick in the styroform and keep doing this until the entire wreath is covered. You do not need to cover the back.

Use photoshop or word to type out "RIP TRUEBLOOD" in a size that will fit your large white ribbon. We used Times Roman font for the RIP and Trueblood font for TRUEBLOOD. Print out your RIP TRUEBLOOD on the t-shirt transfer paper. Cut out your transfer closely and iron on to your ribbon following the instructions that come with your transfer paper.

Finish your wreath by attaching your ribbon diagonally from top to bottom across the wreath using stick pins to secure the ribbon to the back of the wreath.

Hang on your door to let everyone that you are in mourning.
