Party Inspiration from Season 5, Episode 8, ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’

Sookie’s parents were attacked on a bridge by a vampire who was drawn to their car by the smell of Sookie’s blood on a Band-Aid.  Let's see if your fellow Trubies can resist the smell of Sookie's bloody Band-Aid or would they kill for it too???

Vampyre Bible

Vampyre Bible @ Northman's Party Vamps
How To Make Your Own Vampyre Bible
We found this great tutorial at Dave Lowe Designs that can be used to make your own Vampyre Bible just like the one seen on True Blood. We swear on Lillith, this is definitely a must have for your True Blood decor!

We have also attached the Vampyre symbol you will need to cut out to decorate your bible below.
The Vampyre Symbol

Border
You can find a similar border online and print it to size for your book. To do the border it would be easier to print the border to the size of your book and glue it down on the cover. Then take fabric puffy paint and trace the design with your fabric paint. Let dry and then continue with the paper towel decoupage.

Vampyre Symbol Authority Necklaces

Vampyre Necklace@ Northman's Party Vamps
Make your own Authority necklaces using shrink plastic. You can either trace or print out the Vampyre Symbol onto the piece of shrink plastic which can be found at any craft store.

Tracing

  1. If you want the design 1 inch long, draw it 3 inches long. Triple the length because it shrinks to a third of the original size after heating. Place the design under the shrink wrap plastic, and trace the design onto the plastic with a permanent marker. Color the design with gel pens or permanent markers.

  2. Cut out the design

  3. Place the cutout design on a flat, heat-proof surface. Hold the design in place using a shish kabob skewer as you heat the design with the heat gun. It curls and bends as it shrinks. If you don't have a heat gun, preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Put the design on a cookie sheet and bake until it flattens. Let cool for 10 minutes before moving the design. It hardens as it cools. Attach red teardrop jewel to necklace as seen in the photo above with jewelry glue.

  4. Attach bail to your Vampyre symbol with jewelry glue. Run chain through and add clasps. Your necklace is ready to wear.

With an Inkjet Printer

  1. Open a drawing program on the computer. Programs like Adobe Photoshop, Corel Paint or Gimp work well for this. Open a picture of the Vampyre symbol. Open a picture by clicking on "File," "Open," "From File." Click on your image and click "Open."
  2. Insert a piece of shrink plastic in the ink jet printer with the rough side facing up. The rough side has texture that holds the color.Click on "File," and "Print." When the print folder comes up, click on "Properties." Find the "Fast Speed" or "Draft" printing feature. Click on it,and print. The image on the computer screen prints on the shrink plastic.
  3.  Cut out the design, and place the design on a flat, heat-proof surface.
